Labor Day in the United States is a holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. It is a celebration of the American labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country.

MLA Citation Workshop

In this workshop, students will learn the following:

  • The importance of academic integrity and avoiding plagiarism
  • Differences between quotations, paraphrases and summaries
  • How to format an MLA research paper using Microsoft Word
  • How to write an annotated bibliography
  • What in-text citations are and how to properly use them
  • Creating and formatting a works cited page

APA Citation Workshop

In this workshop, students will learn the following:

  • The importance of academic integrity and avoiding plagiarism
  • Differences between quotations, paraphrases and summaries
  • How to format an APA research paper using Microsoft Word
  • What in-text citations are and how to properly use them
  • Creating and formatting a references page
